KJRI Melbourne New Website

November 17th, 2008

Old KJRI Melbourne website

New KJRI Melbourne website
Kjri Melbourne

Today I went to KJRI-Melbourne website and surprise-surprise, they have updated their website to something flashy now.
The current website layout has a better navigation, user friendly and pretty colour as well.
I believe that website can be better if they change the side and top menu in a bigger and sharper font.

In the end, they have changed their website to a better functional website and easier for us to access information from their website.

Some information from their webiste:

Konjen Visit

We have uploaded 107 photos from Consulate General visit on 13 October 2008 last month.
Please have a look at this gallery

One of the purpose of KJRI Melbourne visit to Hobart is to remind Indonesian people in Tasmania that Pemilu is coming soon. They advised us that the Pemilu is near, therefore Indonesian people in Tasmania should register themselves as a voter for this purpose.

We can download voter’s form registration from this link and mail it to
PPLN Indonesian Consulate Po Box 6765 Melbourne Vic. 3004
or we can send the form to kjri@kjri-melbourne.org

Meanwhile if you think you have registered, you can double check for your name from this document

Remember that our voices can decided our country’s future.

KJRI Melbourne Visit

Bali Traditional Dance

Bali Traditional Dance

A group of people from KJRI Melbourne visited us from Sunday 12 October 2008 - 14 October 2008.
There are around 8 people with Mr Budiarman Bahar (consulate general). Also in this special event they brought a group of dancer from Indonesia to perform in Hobart City Hall on 13 October 2008.

Meanwhile in the evening, we had an opportunity to have a dinner together with people from KJRI Melbourne at Baha’i Learning Center. We had another opportunity to see a couple performance from Indonesian dancers. It has been a long time that we haven’t seen Indonesian traditional dance in Tasmania, they performed it elegantly and beautifully.

We hope that there will be more opportunity for people in Tasmania to experience Indonesian culture, either traditional dance, music and other performances.

I will upload some photos from the evening dinner soon.

Wordpress Updated

October 15th, 2008

Hi,

It has been long time I haven’t updated Indotas.org.au as I have been busy with my work and other commitments.

Anyway I just upgraded Wordpress to the lastest version, which is more stable and better performance.
I have fixed some issues with photo gallery integration and site performance.

Also I found it interesting that there are some posts in the discussion forum, will have a look at this in the future and find out what is the possibility to use more of discussion forum.

I think that’s all for now :)

Have a great day!
